Tania Misquitta
Tania is a painter working with an experimental approach, using anything but a brush to create texture, spontaneity, and immediacy in her work. Her practice explores free-roaming, untethered thoughts: spaces where she often finds both discomfort and catharsis.
Working primarily with acrylic paint and unconventional tools like palette knives, wedges, dough cutters, and scrunched plastic, she embraces process as a form of raw expression.
Tania resists the literal, favoring abstraction where meaning remains fluid and interpretation is open. She hopes her work evokes unfiltered reactions: rage, joy, confusion, anything visceral. It’s not meant to be understood, only felt.
